Brief:
With parades and large group events cancelled across the country, the typical Pride celebrations weren’t going to cut it in 2020.
Creative:
For Ikea, we realized that a smaller, more intimate gathering already existed within the queer community--the KIKI. A KIKI is a party. A place to gossip, laugh, and be yourself. So this year, we decided to host IKEA’s very first virtual I-KIKI, hosted by Drag Race superstar Alyssa Edwards and trans actress and activist Isis King. There was lip-synching, tongue popping, and gags galore.
Results:
With $0 spent in media, we received 1.25M impressions, over 200k press impressions, 475K IGTV views, and an 11% increase in LGBTQ followers on Instagram. We also raised over $85K for LGBTQ charities
